Reason # 64,890,479,465 to Join the Chamber: Enjoy Low-Cost Continuing Education

Many small businesses, especially new startups, can’t afford the cost of attending a well-known conference, hiring training professionals, or even paying for online business courses. Luckily, your local Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce frequently hosts trainings on a wide variety of business topics, giving you a low-cost alternative.

One such event is our monthly education and networking luncheon. The monthly Speaker Series Luncheon is a great way to stay in the know and network with fellow local business professionals. Chamber Luncheons are on the 3rd Monday of every month, unless otherwise specified, from 12 pm to 1 pm.

Another such opportunity is the Polk County Young Pros. While designed as an after-hours social event with refreshments, prizes, and networking Young Pros does incorporate education. At least once a quarter Young Pros strives to incorporate topics that are of business importance such as online security, and the importance of public policy. Young Pros meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

Finally, Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Mid-Willamette Valley Leadership Summit. This is a day event that is aimed at growing as business’ and as community leaders. Topics last year included learning how to implement proven methods for growing as a community of understanding, and opportunities for business’ in any field to work with the government. Munchys Delivery

The Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is pleased to welcome a new member to our business community; Munchy’s Delivery!

Munchy’s Delivery works with a team of professional “Delivery Partners” who are innovating the way people eat. Through the Munchy’s Delivery platform people can connect with delivery partners who pick up the food from local restaurants and have them delivered to you in less than an hour.

Munchy’s Delivery has currently partnered with thirteen local restaurants such as; El Pique, Skippers, Burger King, Burgerville, Dallas Dutch Bro’s Coffee, and KFC. Tiffany, the District Manager, is working hard to provide even more options to their customers.

Munchy’s also has its own “convenience store” where customers can buy everything from candy bars to cold medicine and diapers and have them delivered.

“We’ll hopefully get into groceries in the future,” Richard Duncan, owner said.

The cost for delivery from Munchy’s varies. There is a base $2.99 delivery fee, and there is also a charge starting at 1 percent based on the restaurant. Delivery orders have a minimum of $7 to $10 purchase, depending on the restaurant.

Munchy’s won’t deliver more than five miles away from the restaurant, Richard Duncan said. Munchy’s delivery times are 10 am to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10 am to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Cash, credit cards, and debit cards are accepted.

Luckiamute Valley Charter Schools mission is to create a community where students, staff and families work together to cultivate the academic, social, emotional, and ethical growth of each student. Building on children’s innate curiosity and joy in learning, Luckiamute Valley Charter School promotes unique programs with a solid traditional academic foundation, incorporating current technology. They strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment so that children become confident thinkers and life-long learners. The foundation that makes this possible is a school community where parents and teachers work in cooperation for the good of every child, and a community that values the school at its heart. You can either come to the farm to choose your tree and take it home or have your tree delivered right to your door-step. They grow pumpkins in a variety of shapes and sizes for you to choose from. A unique I-Spy walking trail game for all ages, Corn Hole games, a FFA Petting Zoo, and more are just some of the unique activities they offer their customers. No admission is required, and they also have popcorn and hot dog meals available.
