Before coming to Dallas, JD spent time on staff with the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, where he participated in a workforce development project called the Career Achievement Network. While serving at Salem Chamber he went back to school to finish his Bachelor’s degree. Shinn earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management & Organizational Leadership from George Fox University, where he graduated with honors. He has owned businesses and grown one from the ground up before moving on to Chamber work. He is tasked with leading the Chamber and Visitor Center to new heights. JD is a Dallas High School Graduate. He brings a passion for people and an attitude of servant leadership to the community. In his spare time he enjoys time with family, a good book (especially by his fire pit) and almost any OSU Beavers sporting event.
Sarah joins Dallas Chamber with 7 years' experience in hospitality, most recently as Front Desk Associate at Best Western - University Inn and Suites. Before that, Sarah has worked with Best Western hotels in Management, Customer Service, and Sales. She is tasked with keeping the office organized, including arranging meeting times for the CEO, keeping documents and office supplies in their proper place and doing much of the member communication, including e-News and the Dallas Online Journal.
Sarah and her husband moved here in 2014. Since then they have welcomed two daughters into the world. Their family is looking forward to seeing, and helping the Dallas community to grow and flourish.
Shelly is a Marketing Professional works to highlight Dallas and the surrounding area.
She believes that marketing is a major key to community growth. She has secured tourism grants for various counties throughout Oregon, has been an integral part of event and fundraising marketing as well as worked as a CEO, Membership, and Events Director and Fundraiser for various Chambers of Commerce, Visitors Centers and Non Profit Organizations. She is trained in neurolinguistics, certified in Training and Development and has extensive practical experience in non-profit management, organizational communication, and administration.
Shelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Marylhurst University in 2005. She went on to graduate with honors in 2013 from Marylhurst University with a MA in Training and Development as well as Organizational Development.
