Oregon State Credit Union has named Ashley McDonough, a career teacher at the high school and university levels, as Community Education Director. It was announced on January 29th, by Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Rhonda Heile-Brown.
McDonough comes to Oregon State Credit Union with her most recent experience at both Oregon State University and Linn Benton Community College as a lead instructor for English Language Acquisition classes. She has also served as a teacher of English Language. Learner curriculum at Central High School in Independence and as a substitute with Corvallis and Albany school systems.
Her education background includes an undergraduate degree in International Studies and Modern Languages from Pacific University, her Masters and Teachers Certifications from the University of Oregon, and studies abroad in Chad, France and Argentina. She is multi-lingual and conducted English as a Second Language coursework in Spanish and French.

I look forward to applying my diverse background in education at all levels toward meaningful financial literacy to serve our communities.”
Oregon State Credit Union has won several national awards for its Financial Education efforts over the last 15 years reaching an average of 8-10,000 youth and adults with more than 550 presentations annually.
